The Chatelaine Bed and Breakfast is a vintage farmhouse on the 1791 homestead purchased by Thomas Ferguson, founder of the village of Pine Grove Mills. On your arrival, a welcoming signpost greets you from a border of 90 year-old perennials, proclaiming that you are safely home. Foundation plantings encircling the house with their seasonal blossoms entice a brigade of hummingbirds and clouds of butterflies, and invite you to relax in the dappled shade of centennial evergreens. |

The Chatelaine Bed & Breakfast
Cancellation Policy: Extra Fee for Extra Guests in Rooms When Allowed, Smoke Free Environment, No Guest's Pets (we have two), Children Over 12 Welcomed in some rooms, Parking In Front Area Only.
Our rooms:
- The Swan Room. The light and airy Swan Room basks in the glow of the evening sunset and bows to mountain greenery to the south. A rare brass King-sized Canopy Bed is the focal point with its companion, an ebonized Victorian Cabinet, holding court over other mahogany furnishings. A deeply comfortable loveseat and hassock and a batwing chair invite guests to view the Grand Mantel fireplace whose details match the shell-carved corner cupboard holding our swan memorabilia. The en suite bath makes this room the premier-space of the Chatelaine's offerings. A new feature is a coffee table/desk for business travelers utilizing our new High Speed Wireless Internet access, or great for wine, cheese and other snacks.
- The Pink Belleek Room. The Pink Belleek Room offers dusky-rose Oriental Carpets beneath a French Bombe Secretary and an Italian Vitrine filled with blushing Irish porcelain. The King-sized headboard is white-glazed Victorian fencing, and garden Dolphins serve as bedside stands in a cloudy shell of blue. Luxurious chairs direct your gaze to the standing Birdcage encrusted with polychrome metal flowers; while the private hall bath features a Lavender Art-Glass "window," a colorful remnant from a regional gothic church.
- The Sunrise-Sunset Suite. The Wilderness Room and the Dawn-Facing Room are presented as a Suite for 2 to 6 guests. They share a bath in the hallway, while each room enjoys its own personal lavatory, and both feature charming antiques from Victorian and Early Farmstead eras.
Book a massage treatment while you are with us. In your own Room, in the Solar Room with heat, or in the Carriage House Pavilion when the weather is balmy.
Happenings at the Inn:
- The Central PA Fest. A two night stay over the 4th of July Holiday. See the Fireworks at the Bryce Jordan Center Complex. Diner's Certificate, VIP Seating, Ballooning, Gliding, Spelunking, Patriotic Museum Tours. Let us design your package of choice.
- The Sky's the Limit, Inc. Ballooning Package. A Bird's Eye View of Heaven and Earth. When the season is right, a Balloon Flight is a wonderful experience. Stay with us at our Regular Rates and we will help you book separately with the Sky's the Limit, Inc. Flights at Dawn or Dusk.
- Spelunking Paradise. Underground by land and water. Visit our four local caverns: Lincoln, Indian, Woodward, and Penn's Cave. There is a cave to fit the rest of your itinerary in Happy Valley.
