The Carlisle House
Mary Faller Duxbury is a native of Carlisle and returned 'home' after 40 years of military life living in various towns and countries. Her Faller family roots in Carlisle history date back to 1823 when her great-great grandfather, Johann Baptiste Faller, arrived in Carlisle from the Black Forest in Germany. Alan Duxbury hails from Great Britain where he grew up about an hour south of Carlisle, UK. He and Mary have visited that Carlisle and are happy to talk about the relationship between the towns, and the many ways in which Carlisle, PA pays tribute to its older twin.
This is a non-smoking inn. For the health of our guests, smoking is allowed only on the verandah - accessible from the Sitting Room - and on the Patio below. Young adults over the age of 12 are welcome. We can provide details of local kennels for your pets.
We are pleased to offer a variety of rooms, each having its own history and character. All room prices are based on double occupancy.
