Dr. Bernard Mallinger, Dr. Maria Higgins and staff of Optometric Associates of Pittsburgh offers comprehensive eye health and vision services in a caring manner to a large population of adults and children. This practice has more than seventy years of experience. Dr. Mallinger and Dr. Higgins emphasize that throughout one`s life, changes in vision, focus, coordination and eye health can occur quietly and frequently go unnoticed.
All patients receive a thorough evaluation for eye diseases. We offer refractive surgery consultation and management. The doctors provide evaluation and treatment for perceptual, learning, functional visual difficulties and low vision services. After hours emergency services are available. Our doctors are qualified and certified in glaucoma and therapeutic care.
We have a complete optical dispensary, with an extensive selection of exclusive and unique designer frames including sport and sunwear frames. We provide quality prescription lenses such as the Varilux Comfort Progressive and ultra-thin lenses with tints and anti-reflective coatings.
Our office specializes in full spectrum contact lens services. Standard, disposable, toric, bifocal and cosmetic soft lenses, as well as gas permeable lenses and special therapeutic lenses for keratoconus are part of our complete service.
