(Lecture and workshop) Join us for a visit to America’s oldest living botanic garden and the prevelutionary home of John Bartram. John & later his son, William, collected & studied the plants of North America. They traveled the length of North America to collect trees, shrubs, & herbaceous plants for their garden & collectors at home & England. The Bartrams supplied plants for Independence Hall, Mt. Veron & Monticello. Price includes: Tour of the house & gardens, bus transportation, 45 minute lecture workshop on curious herbs & plants, box lunch & admission.
National Constitutional Centre
Have fun while learning about how our government became a democracy and the envy of people from all over the world. Enjoy the introductory multimedia presentation, Freedom Rising and then participate in all the state-of-the art, interactive exhibits about the history and men who had the foresight to develop and write the constitution. You will also have a ticket for the special exhibit, America I Am: The African American Imprint, about pivotal events of valor and creativity of African Americans in the history of our society.
Handy woman or man Basic skills
Learn tool basics: what they are and how to use. Hands on class to cover
- basics of light carpentry, winterizing, plumbing, lighting and
- proper hanging of wall art, towel bars, window treatments
- and more. Bring notebook and tool kits if have one.

We'll also add some tips for the holidays. Bring your make-up if you'd like, plus we'll be using other make-up testers chosen for your coloring.

Fused Glass Picture Frame.
In this workshop students will learn to cut glass and design the border of a 4x6 picture frame. Using colored glass pieces, glass dots and glass noodles students will create a unique and colorful design. Projects are taken to the instructors studio to be fired at approximately 1500 degrees in the kiln to fuse all the pieces together. Bring safety glasses. Projects will be ready for delivery in approximately 2 weeks.
