Northeast Preparatory School was founded in 1960, first as a tutoring service and then in 1965 was fully accredited and licensed as a high school diploma educational institution. The school, accredited by the United Private Academic Schools Association of Pennsylvania, offers an opportunity for Philadelphia and suburban students to earn their diploma in a shorter period of time. |

Northeast Preparatory School
Students can receive here a years worth of credits in each 4 month semester.
The basic philosophy of Northeast Preparatory School is to prepare our students for life after high school. We motivate our students by teaching them responsibility, cooperative learning, hard work, commitment, and respect. It is our belief that these lessons enhance and complete a student’s education.
Much of the success of Northeast Preparatory School can be attributed to small class sizes, which average 12 students.
With individual attention, in-school counseling, career guidance, and our commitment to excellence, Northeast Preparatory School has become very successful in fostering growth in all our students.
School Information:
From mid September through June, the school year runs for 182 days plus 32 summer days. There are 210 student days plus 4 teacher days when the staff is available for conferences, meetings, etc.
Day School Information:
The Day School program is designed for students in grades 7 through 12.
The average age of Day School students is 15 years old.
Classes begin at 8:00 A.M. and end at 2:30 P.M.

- Science - General Science, Earth Science, Biology 1, Biology 2, Chemistry, Physiology
- Mathematics - General Math, Algebra 1A, Algebra 1B, Algebra 2, Elementary Functions, Senior Math

- Electives - Study Skills, Computer Science, Office Skills, Psychology
Day School students may take classes during the Evening Program for no additional charge.
Evening School Information:
The Evening School program is designed for students in grades 9 through 12.
The average age of Evening School students is 19 years old.
All students age 18 or older are requested to attend the Evening program.
The Evening School offers part-time courses to students, who are attending other schools on a full-time basis.

- Other - Physical Education, Health Education
Summer School Information:
We have two Summer School sessions. The first session runs for five weeks; classes are 2 1/2 hours per day for review classes and 5 hours per day for advance classes. The post session runs for three weeks; classes are 4 hours per day for review classes and 8 hours per day for advance classes.
