Neumann Goretti High School
Neumann-Goretti seeks to inspire students to strive for personal excellence, respect for others and self, and responsible citizenship.
Advanced Placement Courses:
Ss. John Neumann and Maria Goretti High School offers SIX Advanced Placement Courses that are available to Students in their Junior and Senior Years. Any Student enrolled in an AP Course is required to take the AP Exam administered towards the end of the school year. Students may receive College Credits for their course if they attain the required score on the AP Exam.
Advanced Placement Courses are available in the following subjects:

- AP Art
- AP U.S. History
- AP Italian
- AP Calculus
- AP English
- AP U.S. Government and Politics     
Diocesan
Scholars:
Juniors who rank among the top twenty at the First Semester of Junior Year are eligible to apply for the Diocesan Scholars Program.  Students selected to participate in this program during their Senior Year attend classes at local Catholic Universities while following an abbreviated roster at Neumann-Goretti.  These college credits are normally transferable to other colleges upon graduation.  Students must pass college courses in order to pass at Neumann-Goretti.
Tracking System:
The track system is an educational device to meet the needs of individual students. The track system is as follows:
- Track one: College prep courses for students of high ability
- Track two: College prep classes for students of above average ability
- Track three: College prep and standard courses for students of average ability
- Track four: Standard college prep courses for the student who experiences academic difficulty and/or requires strengthening in study skills.
- Trackfive: Advanced Placement Courses and Diocesan Scholar Courses
Honors:
Since students are tracked according to their ability, the honor roll reflects their performance within their ability level.  Requirements for honors:
- First Honors: 90 Average (no rounding) with no grade lower than 85
- Second Honors: 85 Average (no rounding) with no grade lower than 80
- Principal’s Honors: *Applies to only Juniors and Seniors* 87 average (no rounding) with no grade below an 85.  Students must take at least one Advanced Placement course in their Senior and in their Junior years.  Students must take Mathematics, English, Science and Social Studies each year.  These courses must either be Advanced Placement or Honors.
Report Cards:
Students' recieve reports in November, February, April and June. Reports are mailed to the students' homes. Progress Reports/Failure Warnings are issued midway during the first and second quarters. Final failure warnings will be issued with the third quarter report card.
