The Early Learning Institute

Our Mission
The Early Learning Institute helps children to realize their full potential through a continuum of early intervention and early childhood education programs.
We serve over 1600 infants and toddlers from across Allegheny County through our Early Intervention program (professional services provided in the home environment). Another 400 children are attending day programs in one of TELI's three preschools and child care.

Each of our program staff have been with TELI for an average of 7 years - unheard of in our field - because they are dedicated and love their work. Many of our teachers, speech therapists, occupational and physical therapists have more than 25 years of experience.

Full Range of Services
Your child can benefit from the continuity of our services from infancy through the preschool years. Services offered include physical & occupational therapy; speech & language therapy; developmental therapy and nutritional services.
If your child has been diagnosed with a learning disability, a developmental delay or has other special needs, you will need to know how the early intervention system functions in Pennsylvania, and how to make certain your child receives the best possible services.

Our Programs
The Early Learning Institute provides services to children, families and professionals in the field of early intervention and early childhood education.
Harmony Learning Center
The Institute also operates the Harmony Learning Center in Wilkins Township, a fully licensed child care facility for children 18 months to 5-years-old. Harmony provides an educational environment for children to learn and grow through a variety of developmental activities for children of all abilities. Pre-kindergarten programs are also available. Child Care is provided year round from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each weekday
If your child is age 3 or under:
In Pennsylvania, the Department of Public Welfare provides services for children under three years of age. Once the determination is made that your child has special needs, either physical or developmental delays or other learning disorder, you will want to enroll your child in an early intervention program. Children under the age of three can receive these services in their home or other natural environments.
