Children of America
At Children of America®, we pledge ourselves to:
- Offer your child daily large doses of love, care and understanding in an atmosphere that emphasizes learning through play.
- Give your child daily opportunities to explore and learn about the world through sensory experiences.
- Value the uniqueness of your child.
- Strive to reinforce and complement your child's home and family life.
Most of all, we endeavor to partner with you in the care of your child. We encourage you to share with us insights about your child. We welcome your comments, concerns and questions. We invite you to share your child's early experiences by visiting and observing your child and by participating in daily activities whenever possible.
Our Guiding Principles In Teaching
Children of America's® programs are designed to foster self-esteem, self-confidence, competence in self-help skills and those inner controls and language abilities necessary for effective social interaction. We stress the process of learning and discovery rather than the product. We encourage children to feel good about themselves as a consequence of their own achievements.
To help children develop into self-confident, caring, competent individuals, our program is play oriented. We, at Children of America®, believe "play is a child's work" and that through play, children acquire the foundations for reading, writing and logical thinking.
Our curriculums are designed by Vicki Folds, Ed.D, published author and renowned childcare expert and are exclusive to Children Of America®. They address the specific needs of each age group and stage in a child's development. The goals of our curriculum are to help children develop a positive sense of self, be active and creative explorers and in the process become enthusiastic learners.
Some programs:
Twenty-Four Months Through Thirty-Months

As these eager and enthusiastic learners enter the school year they are nurtured and challenged through group play and language development. The learning plan for this classroom offers activities in the areas of Creative Art, Nature, Fine Motor, Physical Fitness and Songs. Each learning plan offers a focus of the week that is either theme or season related. The important emphasis for children of this age is socialization: such as sharing and taking turns, and cooperation in a group environment.
Kindergarten
Kindergarten at Children of America® encompasses skilled staff and the finest educational tools to enhance the early school-age experience. Utilizing state-specific school board curricula, each child is carefully instructed in a variety of subjects ranging from English, Science and Mathematics. Further enhancing the educational experience and preparing each child for the future is our music and computer programs. Our low student-to-teacher ratios provide exceptional benefits for each child making the preschool to kindergarten transition easier for all children and their families.
Before & After School
Five-Years-Old To Twelve-Years-Old

Each Children of America® Educational Childcare Center offers before- and after-school care with an emphasis on safety, homework assistance, and lots of good old-fashioned fun. With a wide variety of supervised activities, opportunities and experiences, we support children's increasing interests while nurturing their desire for independence. Teachers are always around for academic help, social support and friendship, not to mention, fun!
